Mark's HaveyLab Page

Welcome to my place here at HaveyLab. I'm the technician here so I don't do any research... instead I help everyone else do theirs. I also take care of many of the other sundry tasks that need doing in a research lab. I've been working here with the USDA Vegetable Crops Unit in various capacities for more than sixteen years, and have been Dr. Havey's technician for over nine. My primary responsibilities on the project are to provide logistical support and infrastructure maintainence for the onion genetics breeding program. This involves organization and execution of the many procedures associated with planting, breeding, havesting, evaluating, and storing crops of onion seed and onion bulbs each year. I am also involved in providing technical support for the research projects of Dr. Havey's graduate students whenever necessary. If you have any suggestions for things you'd like to see here in the future (or criticisms of what you wouldn't), you can contact me here.
