Welcome to Dr. Michael Havey's Vegetable Genetics Laboratory. HaveyLab is located in the Plant Sciences building on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison Wisconsin.

Dr. Havey is a Research Geneticist with the USDA Agricultural Research Service and a Professor in the UW Dept. of Horticulture.

 

This is a photo of a galanthum-CMS male sterile umbel. This is potentially a new source of cytoplasmic male sterility for the production of hybrid onion seed

 

We are studying the mosaic (MSC) mitochondrial mutant of cucumber.
